This is a description of the IGaging third generation angle cube. This cube allows you to measure and set angles from 0 to 180degrees. With the addition of an IGaging data box and cable you can hear the readings on any device, such as a computer or Brail Note or even a tiny Raspberry Pie computer. For more information on how to do this, See the article on Talking Tools at: Talking Tools
The cube is about 2 inches square and 3/4 inches thick. It has rare earth magnets on the left, right and bottom. The magnets are easy to feel. It has 4 buttons on the front along the bottom of the cube. On the back in the upper left hand corner is a micro USB port. This port has 2 functions.
- Use a standard micro USB cable with a USB wall charger to recharge the battery.
Connect the data cable to a data box.
The button functions are as follows: Left button is on / off.
Note: the cube will automatically shut off after a couple of minutes. The button on the far right will zero the angle.
The second button from the left is the hold button. This will retain the current angle until it is pressed again.
The third button from the left is to select eather angle in degrees or to read percentage of slope from 45 degrees.
Using the cube
To set the tilt or angle of your table saw blade do the following:

The same procedure is used to set the angle on any tool such as a miter saw, jointer fence, etc. Note: the cube will only measure tilt or bevel. It cannot be used to set the miter angle on your miter saw.
Callibrating the angle cube:
Sighted assistance is required to recalibrate the Angle Cube.
Under normal conditions. the AngleCube does not need re calibration. If the reading becomes inaccurate, the AngleCube may be re calibrated professionally. Re calibration requires a calibrated level surface within 0.02 degrees accuracy and may require several attempts to accomplish accurate calibration. It is important to hold the AngleCube steady while pressing the buttons to re calibrate.
***Warning: unleveled surface may result in inaccurate calibration.
Place the gauge upright on a level surface.
